The Genius Behind Flakes of Bran

Well, what can I say? I'm not sure I've ever had a web page dedicated exclusively to me. I'm a 30-something stay-at-home-mom who's waited a LONG time for that title.

I was born June 17, 1974 in Aurora, Colorado at Fitzsimonds Army Medical Center. I have two older sisters and an older brother. I graduated from Sheridan High School in 1992. Then in 1996 I graduated from Northland Baptist Bible College with a degree in English.

In 1998 I moved to Colorado Springs and began working at Focus on the Family where I met my husband, Ben. We married on December 11, 1999. Between then and now, I've worked for International Bible Society for two years and then at for NavPress for four years while putting Ben through college. He graduated in December 2003.

After two years of trying to have children (read our birth story here), we finally got pregnant. And on December 2, 2005, Adriana Hope was born in Colorado Springs.

Ben now works for Area101 in Denver which allows me to stay home with Adri (and Rosie, our dog). We're looking into moving back to Denver toward the beginning of 2007 so that Ben won't have such a horrendous commute (120 miles a day!!).
